Day 1: ARRIVAL AND EVENING CITY TOUR OF BEIJING
Arrive at Beijing international airport check into your hotel and overnight at your hotel. Enjoy an evening city tour of the famous city Beijing (formerly called Peking, Beiping, Dadu, Jingcheng, and Yanjing in different periods of Chinese history) is the capital city of the People's Republic of China. Day 2: TIANANMEN SQUARE, OLYMPIC STADIUM AND BEIHAI PARK
After an early morning breakfast at 0700am proceed for the forbidden city tour which is a full day tour lunch will be serve at a local restaurant as well as dinner return to the hotel at 2100rs. Tiananmen Square is the geographical center of Beijing City and the largest city square in the world accommodating 1,000,000 people at one time with beautiful flowers and the red national flag which flutters in the wind. The raising of the national flag is something which should not be missed by visitors to Tiananmen Square.
BEIHAI PARK TOUR
A guide to the 1,000 year history of BeiHai Park and its main elements. The imperial court of the Liao Dynasty built a secondary palace on the site of the present Beihai Park (YaoYu) in the 10th century. When the Jin came to power, they renamed the capital ZhongDu ('Central Capital'). Rocks used for building the hill on the island were brought in from KaiFeng in Henan Province. Around the lake and on the island, palatial halls, corridors and pavilions were erected. In 1179, a Jin Dynasty emperor declared the BeiHai Park to be an imperial garden.

The Forbidden City, commonly called named the Palace Museum, shares the honor of being one of five world-famous palaces with the Palace of Versailles in France, Buckingham Palace in England, the White House in the U.S. and the Kremlin in Russia. The palace, the most magnificent and splendid palace complex in China, was listed as a World Cultural Heritage Building in 1987. Day 4: AT LEISURE AND SHOPPING

Day 7: TOUR THE TEMPLE OF HEAVEN (HALF DAY)

From the 1st to 5th day of the Chinese Lunar New Year (Jan. 23 to 27, 2012), Temple of Heaven Culture Week will be held at Tiantan Park. Day 9: HUTONG TOUR (HALF DAY)
Depart from your hotel after breakfast in the midday hours of the day and head for the Hutong tour where you will experience the different greater understanding of the common people as well as the history of the ancient yet modern Beijing. Hutongs are in fact, alleys or lanes that exist only in Beijing. The origins of the word 'Hutong' is still under discussion, but it is generally believed that the word came from the Mongolian meaning of 'a well', for long ago, when there was a well, there were also residents nearby. The hutongs came into existence in the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) when Kublai Khan (first emperor of the Yuan Dynasty) founded Beijing as the capital. DAY 2: SHANGHAI MUSEUM AND YU GARDEN.
After your breakfast at 0730am, proceed to the Shanghai Museum which is of ancient Chinese art, situated on the People's Square in the Huangpu District China, which is the modern museum, with a round top and a square base which symbolizing the ancient Chinese perception of the world as "round sky square earth". Head for the Yu Garden, the shining star among all the ancient Chinese gardens in Jiangnan fully embodies the traditional design of Chinese architecture with jagged pavilions with elegant decorations and glittering pools with roving fish. Stepping into the Tiananmen, you will see one of the world’s 5 most important palaces –Forbidden City. DAY 3: BEIJING GREAT WALL (CABLE CAR EXCLUDED) AND DING TOMB
After breakfast, drive about 70km to witness one of the Seven Wonders of the World – the Great Wall. Visit the Mutianyu, a less crowded yet well-preserved segment of the Great Wall built in the Ming Dynasty and it will cover up all your expectations. DAY 5: BEIJING DEPARTURE / BULLET TRAIN TO SHANGHAI
